KHS Music Department Fundraiser
Kirksville R-III Special Olympics Athlete, Jared Niemeyer
was selected to be a part of the National Youth Advisory Council for Special
Olympics. This week he is in Washington D.C. training and talking to
Legislators about ending the "R" word and leading the way of acceptance,
respect, dignity and advocacy for people with mental disabilities. Jared was
chosen to participate in a run through Capitol Hill with Joe Jonas, Olympian
Carl Lewis, Tim Shriver and Anthony Shriver! |
