KHS FCCLA (Family, Career, Community Leaders of America) member Kelsea Mckim recently competed in a National FCCLA event. Kelsea is a freshmen enrolled in Culinary Arts through KATC. Kelsea chose to compete in the STAR Event (Students Taking Action with Recognition) Instructional Video Design. For the event Kelsea created a video teaching viewers how to make a lemon cake with curd and frosting from scratch. Her inspiration for the event was her passion for baking and wanting others to learn to bake. Kelsea hopes to own her own bakery in the future.
