American Education Week, also referred to as National Education Week, has been officially celebrated since 1921. It is a week to honor public education in our country, states, and communities. It is typically designated as the week before Thanksgiving, and is used to celebrate all of the people and programs involved in public education. Bus evacuation drills for the semester will be completed on school grounds Tuesday, October 31, 2023. During on campus, morning drop-offs, all bus riders will learn safe evacuation procedures from their drivers, then practice exiting the bus quickly, quietly, and safely. Various teachers and staff will be on hand to assist drivers and monitor students during the process. Bus evacuation drills are required by the State of Missouri to ensure that students are aware of what to do in an emergency situation.
