Bruce comes to us with 16 years of teaching experience, having taught elementary grades and math throughout his career. Bruce is originally from Slidell, Texas. He earned his bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University and his master's degree in administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. For Bruce, the best part of teaching is seeing those "aha!" moments when things click for a student.
Outside of school, he is married to fellow Kirksville teacher, Mrs. Coach Munden, and they have four kids. You will find their family cheering on the sidelines at Tiger events year-round!
Hannah comes to us having been a paraprofessional at Rolla Senior High School and a substitute teacher here in Kirksville. Originally from Rolla, she earned both her bachelor's degree in creative writing and her master's degree in elementary education from Truman. For Hannah, the most rewarding part of teaching is building strong relationships with her students and watching them grow throughout the year.
Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her other half and her two dogs, exploring the outdoors, getting lost in a good fantasy book, and adding to her plant collection.
Kim brings eight years of experience with her, having been a paraprofessional for five years in Illinois before joining Kirksville R-III as a para for the past year and a half. Originally a graduate of Gothenburg High School in Nebraska, she earned her bachelor's degree from Central Christian College and her master's degree from Lincoln Christian University. For Kim, the most rewarding part of teaching is knowing she has made a difference in a student's life.
Outside of school, she has been married to her husband, Jim, for 24 years, and they have an 18-year-old son, Noah. In her free time, she loves traveling to National Parks and visiting museums with her family.
Maren is a Kirksville High School graduate, who is excited to be back in her home district after earning her bachelor's degree. For Maren, the best part of teaching is building relationships with her students and watching them grow throughout the year!
Outside of school, she enjoys playing tennis, spending time with her family, and hanging out at home with her husband, Ethan, and their cat, Darwin.

Abby is starting her first year as a school SLP with us this year. A graduate of Fort Zumwalt South High School, she earned her bachelor's degree from Mizzou, and her master's degree from Maryville University. For Abby, the best part of her job is seeing the kids succeed!
Outside of school, she loves playing volleyball and spending time with her mini Bernedoodle, Anya.

Alexis comes to the district after subbing and teaching second grade at Faith Lutheran the last few years. She is originally from McCook, Nebraska, and earned her bachelor's degree in early childhood education from Peru State College. For Alexis, the best part of teaching is the connections she gets to make with her students and watching them grow throughout the year.
Outside of school, she loves spending quality time with her family and friends—and she is extra excited to welcome a baby boy to her family this November!

Holly brings 20 years of experience with her and she taught for us in the past at Kirksville Primary. She also taught fourth grade at La Plata and most recently served as a conservation educator for the Missouri Department of Conservation. She earned her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Buena Vista University, and a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from Graceland University. For Holly, the best part of teaching is building relationships with her students and making learning fun and engaging.
Outside of school, she stays busy following her two children's sports schedules, serving as Youth Director at First United Methodist Church, and enjoying reading, cooking, and the outdoors through hunting and fishing.

Sophie comes home to the district as a proud graduate of KHS and Culver-Stockton, where she earned her bachelor's degree in early childhood education. This year marks her first year as a classroom teacher! For Sophie, the best part of teaching is the opportunity to build relationships that allow her students to learn and grow to their highest potential.
Outside of the classroom, she stays active in the district as our assistant high school softball coach!
Kristin comes to the high school with over ten years of experience in higher education, most recently serving as an academic advisor at Truman State. She earned her bachelor's degrees in art and athletic training from Truman, as well as her master's degree in leadership. For Kristin, the best part of teaching is empowering students to notice, to think, and to take action in their own lives.
Outside of school, she stays busy with her children and enjoys working on her art.
Hannah comes to the high school with experience as a private French tutor, a district substitute teacher, and an instructor at Truman State . She earned her bachelor's degree in French from Truman and is currently working toward her master's degree in education. For Hannah, the best part of teaching is watching students learn important life skills right alongside their academic studies.
Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her cat and her newly adopted puppy, Sadie.
Joshua is a graduate of Monroe City High School and Hannibal-LaGrange University. He's excited to now be a Tiger and is looking forward to empowering and equipping the next generation.
Outside of school, life is extra exciting for Joshua and his wife, they just welcomed their newborn daughter into the world this July!
Terri brings 21 years of teaching experience to the district, having taught all grades and subjects in a behavioral school setting as well as third and fifth grade in Louisiana, Missouri. Terri is a La Plata native, she earned her bachelor's degree in science from Missouri Valley College and her master's degree in counseling from Midwestern Seminary. For Terri, the most rewarding part of teaching is that moment when you see a student really get it.

Noel joins the district after teaching elementary school in Dubuque, Iowa, and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She earned both her bachelor's degree in elementary education and her master's from Clarke University. Noel's favorite part of teaching is forming strong bonds with her students and watching them grow throughout the year.
Outside of school, Noel loves spending time with her boyfriend and walks with her dog. In her free time, she also enjoys hanging out with friends, traveling to new places, playing golf, and reading a book outside.
Katie will not be a new face to the tech center, she has served as its secretary for the past 11 years! She is a KHS graduate herself and earned her bachelor's degree from Stephens College in Columbia. As she steps into the classroom, Katie is most excited about getting to know her students and building connections with them throughout the year.
Outside of school, Katie enjoys spending as much time as possible with her 19-year-old daughter, Addy (who attends UCM), her parents, and her two crazy dogs, Sadie and Kris.
Blake is a KHS graduate and is entering his third year in education, having previously served as a paraprofessional in the district as well as teaching high school math and communication arts. He earned his bachelor's degree in special education from Missouri Valley College. For Blake, the best part of being in the classroom is interacting with students and watching them set and achieve their goals.
Outside of school, Blake spends most of his time with his wife, Lydia, their daughter, Ezmay, and their two cats, Stella and Bella.
Reagan comes to the district from Moberly, where she taught high school social studies classes, including World History, US History, and AP Government and Politics. She earned both her bachelor's degree in history and her master's degree in education from Truman State University. For Reagan, the best part of being in the classroom is seeing how much her students grow in skills and content confidence throughout the year.
Outside of school, she enjoys staying connected with friends and family and continuing her passion for history and social studies.
Audrey is originally from the Palmyra area and comes to Kirksville Schools having served as a substitute teacher, a summer missionary, and a youth minister. She earned her bachelor's degree in exercise science from Truman State and is currently earning her master's in special education through Northwest Missouri State. For Audrey, getting to educate her students is a blessing, and her favorite part of teaching is creating genuine bonds with her class, watching their confidence grow, and seeing those "aha!" moments happen.
Outside of school, Audrey loves spending time with her fiancé, Lane, as they prepare for their upcoming spring wedding.
Tori is originally from Fort Zumwalt and moved to the area to attend Truman State, where she has earned her bachelor’s degree and is currently working toward her master’s. Having previously served as a substitute teacher for Kirksville Schools, she is excited to step into her first official year in the classroom. What Tori loves most about teaching is that no two days are ever the same, giving her opportunities to stay creative and keep learning genuinely engaging.
When she isn't in the classroom or focusing on her studies, Tori loves spending time with family, friends, and her corgi, Trippy.
Paraprofessionals: We have various openings across each school building. Starting pay with zero experience is $16.85 per hour. The schedule follows student attendance days, plus a few extra days. Paras are full-time employees eligible for district-paid employee health insurance and participation in the PEERS MO retirement system. Coverage for spouses/dependents and additional benefits are available via payroll deduction.
Food Service: We have two openings for part-time line servers/kitchen help. Hours are 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM each student attendance day. Starting pay with zero food service experience is $16.10 per hour.
