Our Digital Design and Graphic Arts students at Kirksville Area Technical Center designed, printed, and installed the graphics for the golf cart used by our Work Experience Program. It looks great, Mrs. Scheurer and students! Thank you for your expertise. Love that you added your class logo, too.

Updates Concerning Possible Threats
Friday, September 20, 2024, 1:00pm
Dear K-R3 Community:
The recent school shooting at Apalachee High School near Winder, Georgia, has increased the occurrence of online social media threats involving school shootings, both in Missouri and across the country. Districts in our area have had their share of threats this week, and Kirksville Schools are not immune to these events. Last night our district was made aware of general transient social media posts involving our schools.
The local posts are being thoroughly investigated by the Kirksville Police Department in full cooperation with the district. All reported threats are investigated today and every day. So far none of the reported leads have proven to be credible. We want to thank community members, parents, staff, and students for reporting any perceived threats. Any new leads are greatly appreciated; please contact KPD at 660-785-6945.
We want to note that keeping our students and staff safe always has to remain our number one priority. Along with that, we want to acknowledge that this is an emotional issue for everyone involved; we respect the decisions of parents to do what is best for their children when sending them to school.
Lastly, we want to thank Kirksville Police Department and our district staff for their continued commitment to the safety of our students.
Check out this video update from Mr. Webb: https://youtu.be/6kgFCGRSNfs
Thank you,
Kirksville R-III School District

Kirksville R-III is aware of rumors concerning a potential threat made against our schools and is currently working with authorities. Law enforcement is actively investigating the matter. The rumored threats have not been found to be specific or credible. Law enforcement will have an increased presence at our schools tomorrow (9/20/24), out of an abundance of caution.
As always, please contact any of our buildings, or Kirksville Police Department, with information of potential threats. Thank you for partnering in keeping our community safe.
